Money saving tips for Moving
if you are looking for ways to keep the hours, and therefore cost down, here are some tips:
How long will my move take?
We have a number of methods for determining how long a particular move will take, but an industry standard estimating tool is that it takes a crew of 3 local movers 1 hour to move 1000lbs of furniture both out of the old, and into the new home; and that on average, a room holds about 1000lbs of furniture.
So, put simply, it will take our household movers roughly 1 hour per furnished room in your home (not bathrooms, but include basements, sheds, and garages.)
Local moving is simply a per hour rate for home moving services, i.e. the crew and truck moving your goods. The clock starts when the truck leaves our facility, and stops when the truck returns, after your move is complete.

Replacement value protection - added peace of mind
We do also offer additional replacement coverage for your belongs, on the move, and while in storage. We always recommend that you first check with your home insurance provider, as they often do have policies that cover local moving and storage.
Our optional replacement value protection is based on $10 of coverage per pound of the shipment. For example, if your shipment weighs 2000lbs, the minimum Replacement Value Protection would be $20,000. You are free to increase the coverage as you see fit, but must purchase at least the minimum.
